Michele R. Tschida

Principal

Michele R. Tschida focuses her practice in the areas of: Estate Planning, Probate and Real Estate. She loves helping individuals by getting to know them and providing options and solutions for their legal needs.

Michele chairs the Estates/Trusts Department at Morrison Sund. Michele was honored as one of Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate, North Star Lawyers for her Pro Bono work, and has volunteered for Wills for Heroes. She has enjoyed working with a variety of repeat clients over her 30 plus years of experience, including: Individuals, Families, Real Estate Agents, and Buyers/Sellers. Michele is always eager to meet and work with new clients.

Michele loves spending time with her family and friends at her cabin. She has a passion for travel, attending sporting events, and grilling.

Michele attended Hamline University for her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies and Business—Go Pipers! She earned her law degree from William Mitchell. Michele is also admitted to practice law in Wisconsin.

Noteworthy cases handled by Eric include the following:

In Roemhildt v. Kristall Development, Inc., 798 N.W.2d 371 (Minn. App. 2011), on behalf of lender client, Eric successfully obtained a reversal of a trial court’s decision that a partial release provision did not run with property.

In Sitek v. Striker, 764 N.W.2d 585 (Minn. App. 2009), Eric successfully represented his client at trial and on appeal regarding its efforts to cancel a contract for deed.

In Alan Chazin Homes v. First Republic Title et al., 27-CV-08-2002 (Hennepin Co. Dist. Ct.), Eric successfully defended at trial a title insurance company against claims that it was obligated to provide coverage.

In JL Schwieters Const., Inc. v. Goldridge Construction, Inc., et al., 19 HA-CV-08-5287 (Dakota Co. Dist. Court), Eric’s client was granted summary judgment establishing that its mortgage was a superior in interest to in excess of $900,000 in mechanics’ liens.

In Victory in Truth God Given Ministry v. Lake 27, LLC, 27-CV-08-31382 (Hennepin Co. Dist. Ct), Eric argued successfully that his client should be dismissed from an action in which it was claimed it was not a bona fide purchaser of a parking lot.

In Craig Wierson Brick & Stone v. Kara Jackson, et al.,10-CV-08-1815 (Carver Co. Dist. Ct.), Eric argued successfully that his client’s mortgage was superior to mechanics’ liens having total values exceeding $200,000.
